Pick a country, a region and a license: the generator makes a call sign in that country's own pattern, with your initials. Or decode any call sign: country, region, license, how it sounds on air and in Morse.

Try:
License

Pick a country, a region and a license.

How it works

A ham call sign has a prefix that names the country, one digit and a suffix of up to four characters ending in a letter.1 The generator picks a prefix your country uses for the license you chose, the digit of your region and fills the suffix with your initials.34567891011 The call sign follows the rules but is not issued: the regulator gives you the real one with your license.

To decode, the box finds the country in the ITU table of call sign series2 and, for the nine countries above, what the digit and the letters mean.
