How it works
The box looks the number up in the BrandMeister talkgroup list1. BrandMeister numbers follow the mobile country code: three digits are a country, and in the list a fourth digit is usually a region; 91 to 95 cover the world and the continents, and 4000 disconnects.23 A dynamic talkgroup stays linked for a time the master sets.4 The BrandMeister parrot is a private call to the country code plus 997; 9990 is the parrot of TGIF.35
Seven digits are a personal DMR ID. For the country, the box uses the first three digits: I counted them over every ID in RadioID's public database and kept a prefix only when one country holds at least 85% of its IDs. Nine digits are a DMR ID with a hotspot suffix.67 The box shows no names or call signs of ID holders.
The CSV has three columns, Name, ID and Call Type, for the contact or talkgroup list of a radio's programming software.
