Which Telox TE320 band version fits Europe?
The Global version fits Europe. Telox's 2022 brochure lists two TE320 versions, Global and Americas, and the Americas version has no band 20 (800 MHz). The longer list on telox.com is a union of bands, not the list of one radio.
| Bands | Global | Americas | telox.com page |
|---|---|---|---|
| LTE FDD | B1 B3 B5 B7 B8 B20 B28 | B2 B3 B4 B5 B7 B8 B12 B13 B17 B28 B66 | B1 B2 B3 B4 B5 B7 B8 B12 B13 B17 B18 B19 B20 B25 B26 B28 B66 |
| LTE TDD | B38 B39 B40 B41 | B38 B40 | B34 B38 B39 B40 B41 |
| 3G (WCDMA) | B1 B2 B5 B8 | B1 B2 B4 B5 B8 | B1 B2 B4 B5 B8 |
| 2G (GSM) | 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz | 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz | 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz |
- Europe. Ask the seller for the Global version. It is the one with band 20.
- US. The Americas version carries B2, B4, B12, B13, B17 and B66, which the Global version lacks.
- Quote. Put the version name on the order, because the product page and the dealer listings show the full list.
My view: treat the long list on the product page as a summary of both versions and order by version name.
How does the TE320 differ from the TE320K, TE320A and TE320P?
The TE320 is the one with no number keypad. TASSTA's list shows four separate models under similar names, each with its own Android version.
| Model | What it is | Android on TASSTA's list |
|---|---|---|
| TE320 | Two soft keys, call and end keys, 230 g | Android 8.1 |
| TE320K | Same body with a number keypad, 237 g | Android 10 |
| TE320A | Separate model, own FCC ID 2AYEZ-TE320A | Android 13 |
| TE320P | Separate model | Android 13 |
- Name mix-up. Telox's 25 August 2022 news item has the headline TE320-A, while its text describes the TE320 upgrade. The later TE320A is a different radio.
Will it work in your country?
The Global version of the TE320 lists 7 LTE FDD and 4 LTE TDD bands, including the 800 MHz band 20 that most EU networks use outside cities.
Try the push-to-talk apps on the TE320
These services list the TE320 as supported. Zello's rugged-device page names a second PTT button on the TE320 and says the channel knob switches Zello channels. TASSTA lists the radio as an Android 8.1 smartphone. Pick one and try what it can do.
The radio's keys work too: PTT plays the next call (hold it to talk), the knob or ▲▼ change the group, ◀▶ switch the app’s screens, the red key stops.
