What is RealPTT?

RealPTT is the push-to-talk-over-cellular platform of Shenzhen Corget Technology, a Chinese company.1 Radio makers ship it on their radios or point buyers to it; Talkpod describes it as the software for its 3G and 4G network radios.2 Corget lists group and private calls, SOS, GPS tracking, patrol, video and SIP.3

Corget's own feature document, dated 2026-05-07, states that one group can hold 2,000 users, one user can join 200 groups, calls have 10 priority levels, and up to 5 users can talk at once in full-duplex mode.3

Which devices and apps does RealPTT run on?

RealPTT runs as an Android app, as an iOS app (iOS 13 or later) and as firmware on Linux and RTOS radios.134 Dispatchers use a Windows program or a browser page. Corget also offers a body-camera app, an NFC patrol tool and car-booking apps.5

  • Both phone apps are free to install on Google Play and the App Store.14
  • The PC dispatcher is a Windows program; the browser dispatcher opens at ws.realptt.com.35
  • A Friends app manages contacts and groups for Linux and RTOS radios.3
  • Mapbox maps let radios without Google Play show a map.3

Corget says more than 1,000 radio makers use RealPTT, across more than 5,000 models, but publishes no list of models.3 A 2024 Talkpod article gives a lower figure, over 500 terminals.2 In our database, 77 of the 291 current radios name RealPTT among their platforms, from 15 makers, mostly QYT, Telox, Estalky and Wouxun.6

What does the RealPTT dispatcher do?

The RealPTT dispatcher runs as a Windows program and as a web page at ws.realptt.com.3 It shows users on a map with name, online state, speed and altitude, and handles group and private calls, SOS alarms, geofences, track playback and call recordings.3 A separate web platform manages users, groups and settings.3

  • Circle users on the map to start a temporary group call, or shift-click to build a dynamic group.3
  • A dispatcher can switch on a radio's microphone remotely and read its battery level.3
  • Video monitoring covers up to 32 channels at once.3
  • A stolen radio can be disabled with the Stun function; man-down and lone-worker alarms are available.3
  • The web platform has four levels: agent, company, department and sub-department. The agent level is the highest.3
  • Mobile device management pushes apps and can lock or wipe Android devices.3

Where does RealPTT run and where is the data kept?

Customers can use Corget's servers or their own. Corget says it runs more than 200 servers, most of them on Amazon cloud with Microsoft cloud as backup, in data centers from the US and Brazil to Germany, the UK, India and Australia.3 It does not say in which region a given customer's data sits.

  • For an own server, agents create independent servers for customers who supply a server and an IP address, and buy licenses for them.3
  • Voice is kept on the platform for 3 months.3
  • Corget says it supports RSA/AES-256 or the Chinese SM2/SM4 encryption. The Google Play data-safety panel says the app's data is not encrypted.13
  • A German data center is named, but no EU-only residency commitment, GDPR statement, data-processing agreement or ISO 27001 certificate turned up on the pages checked.3

How much does RealPTT cost?

Corget does not publish prices. As of October 2026 the apps are free to install on Google Play and the App Store, and no price list, platform fee, free tier or trial turned up on realptt.com, corget.com or the store pages.14 Corget says agents buy licenses and create servers for their customers.3

What are the limits of RealPTT?

Corget publishes no prices, no per-model radio list and no GDPR, data-processing or ISO 27001 papers on the pages checked. Its feature document and the Google Play data-safety panel disagree on encryption. The data region for a given customer is not stated.13

  • The free apps need an account on a RealPTT server, and no self-serve sign-up turned up.1
  • Manuals for the agent platform, company platform, Android app and PC dispatcher are public in the download center. No self-serve demo turned up.5
