What is the difference between the Poclink Ultra, Pro and Lite?

The three POC-1 radios share one body, a 1.44-inch screen and a 3,000 mAh battery. The Lite is LTE only. The Pro adds 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and the Ultra adds 16 analog FRS channels on a second PTT key. Prices per pair: €179.95 for the Lite, €359.95 for the Pro and the Ultra.1234

Each radio has its own review with a 3D model and the FCC files: POC-1 Lite, POC-1 Pro, POC-1 Ultra. The Poclink brand page covers the company, the maker and the SIM plans.

Choose the POC-1 Ultra if…

  • You also talk to family FRS radios in the US, off the mobile network
  • You want a second PTT key for the analog channels
  • You are in the US, or Poclink confirms a PMR446 version for your country in writing

Choose the POC-1 Pro if…

  • You work where Wi-Fi reaches and the mobile signal does not, such as a basement, a ship or a Starlink camp
  • You need no analog radio
  • Your Wi-Fi network runs on 2.4 GHz

How do the Poclink Ultra, Pro and Lite compare point by point?

The body, battery, screen, sealing and SIM plans are the same. The difference is the second radio: none on the Lite, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi on the Pro, a US FRS radio on the Ultra. The Lite costs half as much per pair.12345

What do the Poclink POC-1 radios cost to run?

All three use the same plans. The Standard Global Plan covers 84 countries and comes free for a term that depends on the model and the current offer; after it, $29 a year. The Essential plan covers 130 countries for $69 a year and the Premium plan 169 countries for $99, per radio.1011

Essential Global130$69 a year
Premium Global169$99 a year
  • Lite. 3 years free, then $29 a year; a lifetime Standard plan costs $49 once per radio at purchase.12
  • Pro and Ultra. Free lifetime as a summer offer; when it ends, 3 years free, then $29 a year or $49 once per radio.13
  • Countries. Australia, India, South Korea and China appear on none of the three lists (checked 30 October 2026).11

Can I use the Ultra's analog channels in Europe?

Only with the PMR446 version. The Ultra's manual lists the US FRS channels at 462 and 467 MHz, at 2 W on channels 1 to 7 and 15 to 16. In the EU and UK the license-free band is PMR446, 446.0 to 446.2 MHz at 0.5 W. Poclink offers a PMR446 version on request by email.6314

  • Ask in writing which analog version and which LTE band version ship to your country.
  • Other FRS radios. In the US the Ultra talks to any FRS or GMRS radio on the same channel: see FRS vs GMRS.
  • Off the network. Analog is the only mode of the three that works with no mobile signal and no Wi-Fi.

When does Wi-Fi on the Pro help?

Where the radio reaches a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network but no mobile signal: a basement, a ship, a remote site on Starlink. The Pro then reaches Poclink's cloud over Wi-Fi and talks to the Lite and Ultra in the same group. Poclink says it switches between LTE and Wi-Fi on its own.25

  • 2.4 GHz only. The Pro does not join 5 GHz networks.59
  • Still the cloud. Wi-Fi is another way to the Poclink server; with no internet on the Wi-Fi, the Pro does not talk to other radios.2

Which Poclink radio should I buy?

Buy the Lite for LTE push to talk in the 84 Standard-plan countries at the lowest price. Buy the Pro if your team works where only Wi-Fi reaches. Buy the Ultra for the US, where its FRS channels also talk to family radios. In Europe, the Ultra makes sense only with the PMR446 version confirmed in writing.123

My view: the three radios are one platform with one extra each, so start from where you will use them. Check the bands with your operator in the LTE band checker and the plan countries before you pay for a second radio you might not use. The POC-2 Titan is Poclink's metal-frame model with a knob and GPS.

Questions

Poclink Ultra vs Pro: which one should I buy?

The Ultra adds 16 analog FRS channels and a second PTT key; the Pro adds 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Both cost €359.95 per pair. Pick the Ultra for off-network talk with FRS radios in the US, the Pro for sites with Wi-Fi and no mobile signal.

Poclink Lite vs Ultra: what is the difference?

The Lite is LTE only at €179.95 per pair. The Ultra adds 16 analog FRS channels and a front PTT key for them at €359.95. Body, screen, 3,000 mAh battery and SIM plans are the same.

Can a Poclink Lite talk to an Ultra or Pro?

Yes, in LTE mode. All POC-1 radios join groups on Poclink's cloud, so a Lite, a Pro on Wi-Fi and an Ultra in LTE mode talk in one group. Analog calls on the Ultra reach only other analog radios.

Do the Poclink POC-1 radios work in Europe?

The LTE side does where your operator uses the listed bands: the EU page lists B20 and B28, the NA manual does not. The Standard plan covers 84 countries, mostly Europe, the US and Canada.
